Founded in 1972, the Arts Consortium of Cincinnati is one the largest and oldest communities. African American arts centers in the metropolitan area, in Ohio and the country. The Arts Consortium artists. programs address the social and cultural needs of the community, while placing special emphasis on low to moderate income individuals, and underemployed artists, In doing so the Arts Consortium provides free and affordable opportunities for the community to experience and express ideas and values through the arts.
